Every year, the Friday before Valentine’s Day, thousands of people gather around the world to throw a prom style event for people with special needs.
Jennifer Hildebrand is the coordinator for the Quad Cities edition of A Night To Shine. We sat down with Jennifer for an evening and learned more about her childhood, her experience with a special needs family member, her faith, and how it all culminates in her dedication to making thousands of people feel special.
I want other people to feel that they belong, that they are loved, and that they have a purpose. When I’m gone…. I would like to know that I made a difference in people’s lives, that I made them feel loved, and that they are special, and that they are worth somebody spending the time with them.
